Chief Minister N Rangasamy will kickstart the exhibition in which 100 craftsmen including those who had bagged National and State awards would showcase their products, Welfare and Tourism Minister P.Rajavelu told reporters.
The 'Gandhi Shilp Bazaar' was being held every year as in other parts in Puducherry with Central assistance to provide platform to artisans from across the country to establish a direct market link to the people.
Handicrafts from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Orissa and North Eastern States would be chief highlights of the exhibition which would be held for twelve hours every day from 10 a.M.
The fair is being organised under the banner 'Gandhi Shilp Bazaar' jointly by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) of Union Textiles Ministry and the Puducherry Backward Classes and Minorities Development Corporation.
