Ten including two cops booked for attempt to murder

Police today booked ten persons, including two cops, in an alleged case of attempt to murder on a scrap dealer's complaint here.
Police said that according to Kapil Dev Sharma, a scrap dealer in the Kot Ise Khan area in the district, the incident took place on Wednesday night.
Sharma has alleged that the accused, six named and four unidentified, attacked him and beat him using some sharp edged weapons on Wednesday night, Superintendent of Police, Harjeet Singh Pannu said.
On Sharma's complaint police has registered a case against all, including Surinderpal Singh, an Assistant Sub Inspector and Jatinder Kumarm, a Head Constable, Pannu said.
Scrap dealer also alleged that about two years ago Bikram Sharma, son of the ASI, who is one of the accused in this case, had opened fire with a revolver on him and a case was registered against him.
He alleged that the ASI wanted him to withdraw the case against his son otherwise he will have to face the consequences.
Bikram is also one of the ten accused booked in the case.
No arrests have been made in this connection so far, police said.
