The private vehicle was on its way to Chhatarpur from Satna when the mishap occurred.
While eight persons died on the spot two others succumbed to their injuries later, police said, adding the injured persons were admitted in district hospital here.
The deceased were identified as Ramdeen Gadaria (30), Premchand (25), Rameshwar Dwivedi (20), Manish (15), Prabhudayal Patel (30), Raksha (14), Ajuddhi Basor (65), Anubhav Tailang (age not known) and two others who were yet to be identified, police said.
