Tendulkar and Anjali spent some time with the bereaved family and expressed grief and sorrow on the demise of firebrand leader on Saturday.
When Thackeray died here on Saturday, Tendulkar was playing the first cricket Test against England in Ahmedabad.
He posted a picture of him posing along with Thackeray, Amitabh Bachchan and Lata Mangeskar on his facebook page.
