Leaders of several political parties today condemned the twin terror attacks in Jammu region, but said senseless acts of violence should not deter India and Pakistan from pursuing the path of dialogue.
"It is imperative that these senseless acts of violence should not deter the two countries...India and Pakistan...From pursuing a path to a better future for their people.
"The efforts made by the forces inimical to peace should not become an impediment in finding out solutions to the problems through dialogue," leaders of eight political parties said in a joint statement here.

The leaders who issued the statement included CPI(M) state secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, state president of Samajwadi party Sheikh Abdul Rehman, National Democratic Front chairman Abdul Rashid Kabuli, vice president of Awami National Conference Muzaffar Shah, president of International Democratic Party I D Khajuria and state secretary of CPI Abdul Rehman Tukru.
