His remarks at a press conference came against the backdrop of reports that some senior Congress leaders were opposing his candidature for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Ludhiana.
"There is no question of moving out to any other place," he said in reply to a question.
Tewari said when he decided to contest from Ludhiana in 2004, he had made a long-term commitment with the people of the constituency.
The Ludhiana MP also asked the Punjab government to clarify the status of the four Municipal Corporations of Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala and Jalandhar as to who were the Mayors and the councillors in these bodies.
He said people in these four corporations were facing difficulties in terms of getting their work done from the councillors.
