The Telangana Assembly would meet on Thursday and Friday to pass a new Municipal Act proposed by the state government.
The bill for the proposed Municipal Act would be introduced on Thursday and the House would take up debate on it Friday, official sources said.
"The bill will be introduced on July 18 and a day's time will be provided for the legislators to go through. After deliberations the same will be passed on July 19," a release from the Chief Minister's office said last week.
The two-day session is meant only for passing the proposed bill and no other business like questions and answers would be taken up, the sources said.
The Legislative Council would meet only on July 19 to pass the bill.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had favoured bringing in the new municipal legislation to eradicate corruption.

"The Telangana New Municipal Act should be brought in to eradicate corruption. This time around (after TRS returned to power in December last), people expect from the government best practices and best policies," he said in a meeting with officials last week.
The new Municipal Act should be "stringent and help development of towns in a better way," he had suggested.
Meanwhile, the opposition Congress, BJP and TDP have demanded that the situation arising out of inadequate rainfall in the state and consequent problems in farm sector should also be discussed in the Assembly.
