Siddharth Thacker has sealed a spot in the Laqshya Mumbai Pro-Am team for the Louis Philippe Cup, India's official pro golf league scheduled between June 11 and 13.
Thacker (handicap 14) scored 41 points at the Willingdon Sports Club to be a part of India's biggest city-based team golf championship, a media release said.
The tournament was played in the stableford format where Willingdon Sports Club hosted the second club qualifier in Mumbai for the fourth edition of the Louis Philippe Cup.
Thacker would be joined by Rani Maheshwary, winner of Bombay Presidency Golf Club qualifier held last week, and a third player who will be nominated by the Mumbai team to fight for the Inter-City Pro Am title of Louis Philipe Cup on June 11.
The one-day event witnessed fierce competition amongst 100 avid amateur golfers from the city that was playing for the coveted prize - a chance to play alongside Jyoti Randhawa, Former Asian Tour Order of Merit winner, for the Mumbai team at the Louis Philippe Cup.
