A Thai national was detained with 2 kg gold at Jaipur International Airport, a customs official said Monday.
The accused, identified as Suda Choosith, had landed at the airport late Sunday night, he said.
Sleuths of the Customs Department detained Choosith and seized 2 kg of gold from his possession.
The accused was carrying the gold in the form of two chains having artificial polish on them and two bangles in a purse without any valid documents, Deputy Commissioner (customs) K K Singh told PTI.
During preliminary investigation, Choosith revealed that he has come to Jaipur for a small trip, Singh said, adding that a probe into the matter is underway.
