Thai road accident kills 11 school teachers

At least 11 teachers of a private elementary school were killed and four others injured when their van overturned and caught fire after a tyre burst on a highway here.
The accident occurred in Chon Buris Mueang district yesterday when the tire of the van burst and the driver lost control of the vehicle.
According to Interior Ministry's Disaster Mitigation and Prevention Department, 11 people were killed and four others were injured in the blaze.
All injured which includes the driver of the van also have been hospitalised.
According to the 2015 Global Status Report of Road Safety by the World Health Organization, Thailand has the second most dangerous roads in the world in terms of per capita deaths.

The report said that about 24,000 people are killed each year in traffic accidents on Thailand's roads.
Only Libya records a greater number of deaths per capita.
