"Chairman of the Commission Justice A K Mathur and member Dr Rathin Ray recommended equality in pay and other structures for (officers of) IAS, IPS and other services but retired IAS member Vivek Rae recommended that superiority of IAS shall remain," Thakur said.
Noting that the committees studying the Commission's report have nine out of 13 members who are IAS officers, Thakur said "it was against the principle of natural justice for any person to be a judge in one's own cause."
Thakur said he has requested that the committee should not decide over the comparative service condition of IAS, IPS and other services and this issue should be decided only by an independent committee having no member from these services.
Thakur was suspended by Uttar Pradesh government in July last year after he alleged that he was threatened by Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
