Over 500 inmates of the Thane Central Jail today performed Yoga postures on the occasion of the International Yoga Day.
The inmates, comprising under-trials as well as convicts, participated in the session along with staff of the jail, said Jail Superintendent Niteen Vaychal.
A separate session was held for women inmates, he said.
Vaychal hoped that practicing Yoga would help the inmates physically, psychologically, and spiritually.
