Remake of cult film "The Crow" is officially happening and will start filming soon.
The reboot has been in pipeline since 2008 and the production on the new movie will start in January, reported The Wrap.
"Game of Thrones" and "Justice League" star Jason Momoa is the top contender to play rockstar-turned-undead-avenger Eric Draven.
Momoa dropped a hint about becoming Eric Draven on Instagram last month, when he shared a picture of himself and "The Crow" director Corin Hardy sharing a drink with the hashtag "#sealthedeal".
James O'Barr's cult comic was originally adapted for the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee and directed by Alex Proyas.
The story revolves around Eric Draven, who is brutally murdered along with his fiancee the night before their wedding.
On the anniversary of his death, he rises from the grave and seeks vengeance on his killers with the help of a mystical bird.
Actor Brandon Lee was tragically killed in an on-set accident while shooting the 1994 "Crow" movie.
