Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, on Monday, said that "there is no case here" for the Federal Bureau of Investigation's decision to reopen its investigations into her alleged email scandal.

"There is no case here. As they said there was not even a close call," Clinton said about FBI's decision last week to reopen the case against her alleged email scandal.

At an election rally in the crucial battleground State of Ohio, Clinton exuded confidence that the FBI would not be able to find anything in the emails of one of her staffers, Huma Abedin — as was the case with her emails.

"For those who are concerned about my using personal email, I understand and as I have said, I am not making excuses. I have said, it was a mistake," Clinton said.

"Now they apparently want to look at emails of one of my staffers. By all means, they should look at them. And I am sure that they would reach the same conclusion they did when they looked at my emails in the last year," Clinton said.

In the aftermath of the FBI's decision, Clinton's lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump has dropped considerably in recent polls indicating that the race to the White House has tightened.
