Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today issued directions to the Health department that there should not be any dearth of medicines and health facilities in the government hospitals.
Chairing a high-level meeting, Das said there should not be any dearth of medicines in the hospitals, according to a press release here.
On the direction of the chief minister, Rs 11.94 crore has been allocated to hospitals so that there should not be any problem for medicines, the release said.
Expressing concern over lack of medicine in Gumla hospital, Das directed purchase medicines from the allotted money.
In the event of any death, the hospital management should arrange ambulance to ferry the body and civil surgeons of every districts are accountable for that, Das directed.
Das also asked the health department to purchase hearse for every district within two months and let them run by those who volunteer for social service, the release said.
The chief minister said let land be allotted near RINPAS for Tata Cancer Hospital in Ranchi and to complete work connecting to this.
He also directed the officials to keep hospitals clean and if garbage is found then action would be taken against the hospital management, adding there would be zero tolerance if there was non-availability of medicine.
