With the Congress coasting towards power in Karnataka, a senior WBPCC leader today said that the party has the quality to win back mass support and hoped that there will also be a change in West Bengal in future.
"Congress has the inherent quality to win back mass support. I hope there will be a change in West Bengal in the coming days," WBPCC leader Manas Bhuinya said.
"The Trinamool Congress rode to power in the state with a huge popularity two years ago, but their popularity is waning now," Bhuinya told reporters.
"The people have realised the status of the Trinamool Congress in the present political scenario," he said.
On Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's claim that there would be no UPA-III after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he said that she should not speak 'nonsense'.
"I would like to caution her not to ignore the Congress and try to respect the party. Its better not to speak nonsense and abuse the Congress," he added.
