The 17th edition of the festival, which will take place from December 7 to 13 here, aims to bring alive the raw and vibrant energy of theatre.
"We have uncovered some of the rawest talent of the country, and also managed to bring down some really cutting-edge international acts and workshop leaders," Quasar Thakore Padamsee, Co-Founder, Thespo & Artistic Director, QTP, said in a statement.
"Thespo 17" will feature a line-up of over 30 events, including five plays in Marathi, Hindustani (Khadi Boli), Bengali and Hindi.
It will also feature seven special events, including international acts and collaborations like one-man show "Brotherhood-the Hip Hopera", four platform performances ranging from a Hindustani play to a social commentary.
An English piece, "Dekho, Magar Pyaar Se", will play around the masculine stereotypes found in advertisements and Bollywood, while "Ti Ani Apan", a play revolving around people's reactions to the 2012 Delhi gangrape case will also be shown during the festival.
Ten workshops and four live music acts will be held at the fest, scheduled to take place at Prithvi Theatre, the Hive, and Godrej Theatre.
