Third body recovered from landslide site in Thane

With recovery of a body of a 27-year-old youth this morning the death toll in the landslide mishap at Ghodbunder area of the city has climbed to three, official from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) said.
Chief of the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) Santosh Kadam informed that the body of the victim Lokeshwar Vishwakarma (27) which was trapped under the debris was pulled out by the rescue team and sent for post-mortem.
The land caved in at the site burying the workers who were working at the spot yesterday afternoon.
A total of seven persons were safely pulled out of the debris after the landslide at the construction site.

In a related development Kasarwadavali police have booked the owner of Gayatri Constructions and others following the mishap in which three lives were lost.
