Third edition of Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup football kicks off

As many as 20 teams from across the North Zone will be vying for the coveted trophy in the third edition of the Rajiv Gandhi Gold Cup Football tournament which kicked off at GGM Science College grounds here today.
The week-long tournament, organised by All J&K Indira Gandhi People's Association in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) and J&K Sports Council, will witness the teams contesting on knockout basis to decide the winner.
The event will feature 19 matches in all, including the finals to be played on March 10, President All J&K Indira Gandhi People's Association, Narinder Gupta, said.
In the opening match today, NGR Club beat Hero Club 3-0, while in the second match of the day Saink Colony got better off Param club.
