"This is a decisive victory for BJP. This anti-Congress vote is not only against corruption, price rise and anti-people policies, but a mandate against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi," she said on the sidelines of a function here.
"This victory has given out a message, just 5-6 months before the general elections, it is a decisive indication that people want to have a BJP-led government at the Centre," she said.
Asked about the dream debut of AAP in the Delhi Assembly elections and BJP failing to manage a clean sweep, Irani said, "It is good for the health of parliamentary democracy if a new force emerges, but according to norms you can only serve the people through government and the people of Delhi have blessed the BJP by giving them the mandate."
Attributing the victory to good governance of BJP and its leadership, she said, "The victory can be attributed to our organisational strength, to our leadership including Rajnath Singh, L K Advani and Narendra Modi. This is a victory of our united steps."
