The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force, that guards icy heights along India's frontier with China, has showcased this mighty four-legged animal for these all-India level games in order to create awareness about it in the outer world, and beyond Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir, even as it projects the healthy fighting spirit and sportsmanship to be exhibited by wrestlers drawn from various central and state police forces.
The event will be held between March 1-5 here under the overall coordination of the ITBP.
The event, organised by the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB) every year, is expected to see participation of 37 teams of various state police and central police forces like CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP and BSF.
1,600 sports personnel and 200 coaches and their supporting staff will participate in the event.
