Three men, who were allegedly involved in a robbery of Rs 33 lakh in northwest Delhi's Model Town, were arrested, police said today.
The accused, identified as Pradeep Kumar (36), Anuj (36) and Upender Kumar (33), were arrested near the Badli Bus Stand on the outer Ring Road yesterday, Ajit Kumar Singla, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) said.
Two among the six accused involved were arrested within days of incident in May. One of their accomplices is still absconding, he said.
On May 25, when the victim, Om Prakash Sharma, was on his way from Shalimar Bagh to Model Town in a car, the accused allegedly robbed him at gunpoint and decamped with over Rs 33 lakh, which was kept in a bag in the boot of the car, the ACP said.
The victim, a resident of Delhi's Vivek Vihar, works as a cash collection agent in a firm located in Delhi's Wazirpur Industrial Area.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that one Arjun was their gang leader who planned the dacoity.

However, Arjun accidently dropped his mobile phone at the spot during the heist.
Based on the intelligence gathered from the phone, police nabbed his associates Ravi and Sahil within days of the incident, Singla said.
They had decided that the money would be distributed among the gang members once they reach Meerut, but Arjun vanished along with the money after he realised that he had dropped his mobile at the spot, he added.
