Nearly a dozen people had allegedly barged into the office of Surya Builders at Pipal Road of Mohan Garden locality of Uttam Nagar on January 16 evening. They had indulged in indiscriminate firing besides issuing threats to "establish their dominance over local property dealers and builders", police said.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
A case was registered at Uttam Nagar police station and investigation was taken up during which police learnt about the role of a member of Rajesh Bawania and Pradeep Solanki gang active in the area.
Sunil used to operate the gang's activities while Pradeep Solanki and Rajesh Bawania continued to direct it from inside jail.

A team of Special Staff and Uttam Nagar police arrested Sunil on the basis of information received by sub inspector Naveen Kumar and assistant sub inspector Mahavir from Anaj Mandi in Najafgarh, he said.
During interrogation, Sunil said that he had planned to extort money by instilling fear in the builders and businessmen of the area, according to police.
Rakesh received threat calls from Pradeep Solanki from Bhondsi Jail and later on Solanki's direction, Sunil and his associates. On the direction of Pradeep Solanki, he, alongwith his associates, attacked his office to create fear and force Rrakesh to leave the plot, said the oficer.
Later, police managed to arrest his two other associates Roshan and Hardeep Dagar. A 7.65 bore pistol, ten live cartridges and a car used by the accused in the shooting at builder's office was also recovered.
