Three arrested in Rs 14 lakh heist case

Three persons were arrested today in connection with Rs 14 lakh heist at the office of a private company in suburban Jogeshwari earlier this week and Rs 3 lakh was recovered from them.
The incident occurred on Sunday night when around five persons, wielding knives, overpowered the watchman of the office and looted Rs 14 lakh in cash, police said.
On a tip-off that three members of the gang would arrive at Chheda Nagar area in suburban Chembur, the Anti Robbery Squad of Crime Branch laid a trap and arrested Ashok Nayak (35), Jahangir Abbas Pathan (48) and Lekhraj Gupta (30), they said.

More arrests in the case are likely, an official said.
