Three people, including two women, were arrested and a juvenile was apprehended for allegedly carrying out a burglary of more than 85 lakh at a house in northwest Delhi's Gujranwala Town, police said today.
On December 2, suspected burglars decamped with cash and valuables worth over Rs 85 lakh when the house owners were out for a wedding, they said.
Four domestic helps of the house - Kunti (24), Deepa (30), Jyoti -- and a 'juvenile' remained in the house, the police said.
It was also noticed that the accused had gained a friendly entry in the four-storey house which pointed the needle of suspicion towards the maids, they said.
The burglary had happened on the first floor of the house.
When the police scanned the CCTV footages from the cameras installed in the house and neighbourhood, they saw a suspicious looking person lurking in the neighbourhood who could not be identified, the police said.

Two of the maids were also seen going out of the house and returning late in the night, they said.
Kunti confessed that Deepa had instigated her to commit the burglary and Kunti's brother-in-law Rohit (24) was also a part of the plan, the police said.
They also roped in the minor house help in their plan. They had stolen the duplicate keys of the cupboards around a month back and were waiting to strike when the house owners were not present, an official privy to the probe said.
When all the family members had gone out to attend a wedding, Kunti, Deepa and the juvenile, took out all the jewellery and cash from the house and handed it over to Rohit, he said.
The maids were apprehended while Rohit was nabbed from Mukundpur area and the booty was recovered from him, the police said.
