On December 2, suspected burglars decamped with cash and valuables worth over Rs 85 lakh when the house owners were out for a wedding, they said.
Four domestic helps of the house - Kunti (24), Deepa (30), Jyoti -- and a 'juvenile' remained in the house, the police said.
It was also noticed that the accused had gained a friendly entry in the four-storey house which pointed the needle of suspicion towards the maids, they said.
When the police scanned the CCTV footages from the cameras installed in the house and neighbourhood, they saw a suspicious looking person lurking in the neighbourhood who could not be identified, the police said.

Two of the maids were also seen going out of the house and returning late in the night, they said.
Kunti confessed that Deepa had instigated her to commit the burglary and Kunti's brother-in-law Rohit (24) was also a part of the plan, the police said.
They also roped in the minor house help in their plan. They had stolen the duplicate keys of the cupboards around a month back and were waiting to strike when the house owners were not present, an official privy to the probe said.
The maids were apprehended while Rohit was nabbed from Mukundpur area and the booty was recovered from him, the police said.
