Three cars gutted in fire

Three cars were destroyed in a fire that broke out in the Revenue Divisional Officer's division at Kulithalai near here today.
Officials said no one was injured in the incident.
They said the fire broke out in the garbage area at a corner of the office complex and spread to the cars that were parked nearby.
Loud explosions were heard as the fire engulfed the vehicles. The fire service personnel doused the fire in an hour.
Burning cigarette-stubs thrown into the garbage could have caused the fire, officials said.
