Three-day camp for pets held

Pets from the city were given a
royal treatment here at the Government Veterinary Hospital today as they were given spa bath, dental and dermatology care under a three-day camp.
The hospital witnessed a stream of pets including pug, Pomeranians, Labradors, St Bernard, street dogs, Alsatian and Dalmatian among others on the occasion of three-day camp organised by the hospital to introduce them to new facilities.
Some of the dogs were also given surgical treatment at the modern OT and were operated by team of veterinarians.
The hospital, housed in a building of erstwhile Bhopal Nawab is equipped with modern facilities like x-ray, stenography and path lab among others, Dr Anil Sharma, in-charge of the hospital said.
"The above facilities and modernisation of the hospital was carried out with a budget of nearly Rs 45 lakh," Sharma said.

Joint Director, Veterinary Services, Dr P S Patel said that soon a geyser will also be installed for providing hot water bath facility to pets.
Lauding the facilities at the hospital for animals, veterinarian turned banker Dr Rakesh Choudhry said that providing such facilities at a government hospital is a big thing.
Beside dogs, cats, hen and goats were also treated for for vaccination, dermatology and dental care at the three-day camp.
