Three-day session of Mizoram Assembly to begin from July 7

The forthcoming session of the Mizoram Assembly summoned by state governor Lt Gen (retd) Nirbhay Sharma to begin from July seven will be of three days, a senior assembly secretariat official said today.
Additional Secretary of the assembly S. R. Zokhuma said that the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by speaker Hiphei today decided to continue the session till July nine.
The first day of the session would begin with obituary reference by House leader Lal Thanhawla on former state chief minister Brig. Thenphunga Sailo and followed by presentation of the vote-on-account by the state finance minister Lalsawta, Zokhuma said.
The assembly would take up legislative business, if any, on July eight, he said.
Discussion and voting on the vote-on-account would be taken up on July nine after which the speaker would adjourn the session sine die.
