Police said the mishap took place at Kalyanpur at around 3.30 pm when the bus on way from Goalpara to Bongaingaon, hit the SUV travelling in the opposite direction.
All the three dead were in the SUV.
While one of them died on the spot, two others succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, where their condition was stated to be stable.
