Three die after consuming spurious liquor in Madhya Pradesh

Three persons died and four other fell ill after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in a village near here, a police officer said today.
The victims, residents of Goshpur village, took ill after they consumed country liquor from an illegal outlet last night, said Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) S S Tomar.
"After consuming liquor, some people fell ill and were admitted to a hospital in Gwalior, where three persons died during treatment. Four other villagers are still undergoing treatment in the hosptial," Tomar said.
The deceased were identified as Chhotu Parmar (25), Giriraj Parmar (30) and Sunil Parmar (35), the officer said, adding that their bodies were handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
"They had consumed spurious liquor, which was purchased from an illegal vendor," he added.
Tomar said a case has been registered and further investigation was underway.
