including a lawyer and a Director of a coaching institute here, were killed when their car hit a speeding truck at Chaulibasa in Seraikela-Kharswan district, the police said today.
"The incident took place last night when the truck collided head on with the car, in which Director of the coaching institute, Shailesh Verma alongwith the lawyer Arvind Kumar Singh were returning here from Ranchi," Officer-in-Charge of Chowka police station, Ramawadh Singh said.
The duo and the driver were critically injured, he said.
They were rushed to the government-run M G M Hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
Meanwhile, the truck driver managed to flee, he said.
