Three die in highway accident

Three persons were killed and seven others injured today when the car they were travelling lost control and fell into a roadside ditch near Burdwan town.
The police said Dr Amit Kumar Mukherjee (32), Dr Gargi Das Roy (30) and Sumitra Kumari Das (30) died on the spot at Becharhat on National Highway-2.
They were residents of Manicktala in Kolkata and were going to Maithan.
The injured people were admitted to a local hospital.
