Three drown in MP boat capsize

Three men drowned in the Chillar dam near here in Madhya Pradesh Monday after their rowboat capsized, police said.

The occupants of the boat were on a joy ride when the tragedy struck.

The deceased are identified as Deepak Jadav (19), Sawan Bairagi (21) and Gaurav Gobuj (23), said Kotwali police station inspector RD Kanwa.

The trio were taken out of water by rescuers and rushed to local hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead, he said.

Police are investigating the exact cause behind the incident.
