Three engg college students drown in Cauvery river

: Three engineering college students drowned when they slipped into the deep end of Cauvery river while immersing the idol of Lord Ganesha, police said.
The trio from Udayapatty village were part of a 15 member team which immersed the 10 foot high idol yesterday in an area which was designated as unsafe, they said.
