Three persons are feared drowned after they went for a swim in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Dabhari village in Olpad taluka in Gujarat's Surat district, police said today.
The three were part of a group of seven persons, all natives of Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh, who work as cooks at a residential school in Narthan village nearby, Olpad police station inspector D N Khant said.
"The seven had gone swimming today. Three of them ventured deep into the sea and started drowning. A rescue team from the city fire department as well as the police are searching for their bodies," Khant said.
He identified the three as Ajay Lodhi (19), Parimal Lodhi (21) and Rajesh Lodhi (21).
