"Three NCC girl cadets of NCC Directorate from Jammu and Kashmir have made the state proud by scaling the Mount Everest. They were part of the first-ever all girls Mount Everest expedition of the NCC which scaled the summit on May 22," Udhampur-based defence spokesman Col S D Goswami said.
Stanzlin Laskit, Tashi Laskit and Tsering Angmo scaled the 8,848-metre peak, he said.
"All the three girls hail from Leh and are students of Class XII government higher Secondary School, Leh," he said.
