Three girls of a family drown in Assam

Three girls of a family drowned while bathing in a pond in lower Assam's Sonitpur district today, official sources said.
The three girls, aged below 12 years, had gone to bathe in the pond near their home at Gelapukhuri at around 1pm when they drowned, the sources said.
The three bodies were fished out and the girls were identified as Gitali Nahar, Bobita Nahar and Sumoni Nahar, they added.
