Three men, who were allegedly carrying gold bars in their body cavities, were apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel from the airport here today, officials said.
Six gold bars, worth Rs 51 lakh, were also seized from the possession of the three -- Noor Mohammed, Azmal Hussain and Shahid Ahamed -- who were travelling to Kolkata, the CISF officials said.
At around 2.30 pm, while the passengers were being frisked ahead of their boarding, it came to light that the three were carrying two gold bars each, which were hidden in the rectum area of the body, a senior official said.
