In the first case, the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the Customs intercepted one Abdul Lateef Manjeshwar when he was passing through the Green Channel of the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport, and seized seven gold biscuits of 99.99 % purity, weighing 816.62 grams, worth Rs 25 lakh from his bag.
Another passenger, landed from Brussels, was held for carrying a diamond-studded ring estimated at Rs 5 lakh, a Customs release said today.
In the third instance, the sleuths apprehended a man arriving from Dubai for carrying gold ornaments, watches and pens, collectively worth around Rs 5 lakh.
