Three held for allegedly cheating gullible unemployed youth

The Sarpavaram police today nabbed three people including a woman for allegedly cheating gullible unemployed youth to the tune of Rs 48 lakh, after issuing them fake appointment letters in the AP government veterinary department.
Names of those arrested are Peram Lalitha Devi (24), Velangi Varaprasad (35) and Veerraju (38).
Lalitha Devi lured unemployed youth offering class four posts in the AP veterinary department and collected huge amounts .
She used the name of veterinary assistant Varaprasad as the jobs "recruiting officer" and even introduced him to gullible youth as a "veterinary doctor".
Veerraju impersonated Varaprasad and issued fake appointment letters signing as "the veterinary officer of Velangi".
When the youth approached the veterinary office, the the entire hoax was exposed.
All the three accused will be produced before the court tomorrow for judicial remand, sources said.
