The three accused were part of a 15-member gang which rammed the car with another vehicle here last night, police said.
The gang then assaulted three persons in the car who were taking the notes to one Rajendran to exchange those for a commission, and decamped with the money, a police officer said.
A case was registered against seven persons, including Rajendran, police said, adding, three persons have been arrested in connection with the robbery.
