The trial in the murder case of Sukhwinderjit Singh came to an end today with the conviction of the victim's wife Neki Nalwa, her paramour Himmat Singh Brandy and their accomplice Paramveer Singh.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajinder Singh Rai, while holding the trio guilty, ordered them to appear again before the court on Monday, when the sentence will be pronounced.
Sukhwinderjit was shot dead when taking a stroll with his wife in Sector 69 here on December 4, 2005.
Ever since they were arrested on December 7, 2005, Neki and Brandy had been confined to Patiala Central Jail. However, Paramveer, who was accused of providing the cartridge used in the crime, was presently out on bail.
