Three held with banned forest produce

Three persons were arrested and 1.5 quintals of banned forest produce (Nagchatri) was recovered from their possession on the outskirts of Jammu, the winter capital city of the state, police said today.
During routine checking, police intercepted a car and recovered 1.5 quintals of banned forest produce from the vehicle and arrested three persons, including the driver, at Nagrota check point in Jammu last evening, they said.
The accused have been identified as Baldev Singh (driver), Ravi Kumar and Joginder Singh- all residents of Doda district, they said, adding a case has been registered against them.
