The Bihar Police have unearthed three illegal gun factories in Munger district and arrested one person in connection with this, a senior police officer said on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Mangla, said that the gun manufacturing units were busted in Belan Bazaar, Mirzapur and Sandalpur areas of the district, during a raid on Friday night.
"Two carbines, six partially made carbines, two country-made pistols, two partially made country-made pistols, three partially made magazines and machinery to manufacture arms were seized," he said.
Mangla said that the arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Samimuddin, a resident of Belan Bazaar.
An FIR under the Arms Act has been lodged at Kasim Bazar police station, he said.
