Acting on a tip off, the police raided the village during which they unearthed the three illicit minigun factories located in an orchard.
Two persons were arrested from the spot while they were processing weapons, Navgachhia police district's Superintendent of Police Pankaj Sinha said.
A haul of weapons comprising a country-made pistol, three semi-processed pistols, ten magazines, two ammunition, three mobile phones, besides large quantity of raw materials and equipment used for processing arms were recovered from the spot, he said.
The SP said that the illicit minigun factories were set up to meet demand of firearms during forthcoming assembly polls.
