Three inter-state vehicle lifters were arrested and stolen vehicle of inspector general of the Intelligence Bureau was recovered from them, police said today.
Praful Kumar, Additional Commissioner of the Jaipur Police, said that the Crime Branch had arrested five vehicle lifters on June 12 and during their interrogation, the names of the three accused cropped up.
On the basis of information, the accused, identified asAteek Ahmed (35) was held in Mumbai while Rupesh Malviya (36) and Mobin Sheikh (33) were caught from Madhya Pradesh yesterday, police said.
They were brought to Jaipur and were under police custody, they said.
One of the robbers, arrested here on June 12, Rishiraj Meena, had stolen the vehicle from near central park on Tonk road in Jaipur last month.
He sold the vehicle to Ateek Ahmed near Kishangarh in Ajmer and Ahmed further sold it to Sheikh. Malviya was also involved with them, police said.
The stolen vehicle of the IG-IB was recovered from Madhya Pradesh, they said.
