Three killed in lightning strike in Medak district

Three members of a family including a boy were killed and two others were injured when lightning struck them in neighbouring Medak district of Telangana today, police said.
The incident occurred in Veltoor village of Sadasivpet mandal.
The victims were working in a field, and had taken shelter under a tree in the rain when the lightning struck.
Danaiah (60), Mallesham (32) and Anil (9) were killed on the spot, said inspector P Srinivas Naidu.
The two others were out of danger.
