Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in the state on Sunday, police said.
Two persons were crushed to death after their vehicle was hit by two trucks coming from the opposite direction near Champa Morh in Batote area of Ramban district at around 5.30 pm, a police officer said.
It took a lot of effort to extract the bodies of Basharat Ahmad (25) and his brother-in-law Usman Farooq (23) from the mangled remains of the vehicle, he said, adding that a crane was used in the operation.
In a separate incident, a conductor of a Kashmir-bound truck was crushed to death under the wheels of the vehicle near Karool in Ramban district.
Charanjeet Singh (46), a resident of Punjab, was repairing the vehicle when the accident occurred, police said.
