Three killed, two injured after Mercedes hits rickshaw

Three persons of a family were killed, while two others got critically injured after they were hit by an over speeding car at new VIP road here, police said today.
The accident took place today when the family of Suresh Parmar was returning home in Ranchhodpura area here along with one relative in an auto-rickshaw and were hit by a speeding Mercedes, assistant sub-inspector of Kishanwadi police station, Nanbhai Bhagabhai, said.
The relative, Vishram Bavanji died on the spot, while Suresh Parmar (42) and his wife Bhagvati Parmar (35), succumbed to injuries in the hospital later in the day, the officer said, adding, their two children, who also sustained serious wounds, were undergoing treatment at another hospital.

It seems the driver of the car lost control over the four-wheeler and rammed into the auto-rickshaw, he said.
Police have seized the Mercedes and has initiated a probe.
The driver (of the car) fled from the spot and hunt has been launched to nab the motorist, he added.
