"Three thieves of interstate Deepak Nepali gang -- Deepak Bahadur Bohara, 28, and Dharamraj Bohara alias Sushil, 27, both residents of Nepal's Bajhang district and Hikmath Khadka, 28, of Dhangadhi Kailali district of Nepal, were arrested yesterday from Pushpa Bhawan bus stop in Madangir following inputs that they would be coming there," Ajay Chaudhry, Addl CP, South East district, said.
Police have recovered Rs 2.72 lakh in cash, Rs 3.15 lakh worth of foreign currency and bank deposit slips of Rs 12.5 lakh from them.
According to police, Manoj Kumar, a manager of wine and beer shop in Madangir, registered complain that on December 31, 2012 when he opened the shop at about 9.00 AM he saw the drawer of sale counter and iron box were broken and the cash amounting Rs 10.6 lakh was stolen.
During interrogation, they confessed that they were members of an interstate gang of burglars namely 'Deepak Nepali Gang' and had committed robberies at Saket, Malviya Nagar, C R Park and Rewari in Haryana.
